Spectral optical tomography in ophthalmology

Abstract
Spectral Optical Coherence Tomographt in contract to traditional - Time domain Optical Coherence Tomography is very fast and requites less expsure to obtain cross-sectional image. It is therefore ideal tool for ophthalmology. The foundations of the method, the latest advancements and applications to ophthalmology will be discussed. An interesting link between the presented research and famous personality of German Enlihtment - Samuel Thomas Sommering will be mentioned.
