Time resolved optical spectroscopy - from milisecond to attosecond
Faculty of Physics, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland
Abstract
Many fundamental events in microscopic world proceed in time scales extending to ultrashort time scale. Study of physical and chemical events accompanying light-matter interaction have become possible with the use of ultrashort laser pulses. The applications of ultrashort laser pulses has been historically concerned with spectroscopy and molecular dynamics in physics, chemistry, biology and material sciences . The main goal of the ultrafast time-resolved optical spectroscopy is to get a maximum spectral information as a function of time at a highest possible time resolution and for this ultrashort laser pulses can be used in a variety of experimental configuration.
