Development of an automatic adjustment process for an a commercially available Interferometer
Center of Optical Technology, FH Aalen
Abstract
In precision optics more and more aspheres are built into the optical designs, to optimize image quality and track length. The metrology used to measure aspheres in production consists of interferometers with holograms or compensation optics. In the presented contribution modifications on an existing commercially available interferometer are reported, where an automatic adjustment process instead of a manual one is implemented. After positioning the aspheres according theoretical setup parameters, a software algorithm adjusts the asphere automatically and carries out the surface measurement.
