Abstract
For instance, Pollen information services are still using manual counting to determine the integrated mass of pollen within a known measurement volume. Similar methods are used to determine the yeast concentration in aqueous solutions. Inline digital holographic techniques are useful to store the spacial distribution of e.g. pollen or yeast. The subsequent numerical reconstruction of the volume to be analysed is used to evaluate automatically quantity, size, shape and three dimensional distributions of the mentioned particles
