From Microscope to Systems
Leica Microsystems CMS GmbH
Abstract
Especially during the last century classical microscopy has strongly diversified, driven by multiple special application requirements in Life Science and Materials Science. Based on these requirements, a large range of system solutions has been developed, combining different imaging solutions with special excitation- and detection technologies and Application Software, supported by development of special optics. With focus on Life Science, a survey of the most important system solutions will be given, including an outlook about upcoming developments.
