Abstract

We introduce an easy to use and accurate method for the calibration of multi-line light sectioning. We use bundle adjustment not only for the internal camera parameters, we use it as well for the acquisition of the geometry of the calibration target. So the method does not require highly accurate calibration gauges. The calibration procedure is as follows: After acquisition of the target geometry as described above, the calibration target is set to different positions manually, while we take images of the target, with and without projected lines. The position and orientation of the target are evaluated by resection. The method is fast and easy to use.
