Laser in production: a flexible tool for economic and efficient manufacturing

For many years now the laser has been well established as a tool in industrial production. Due to its unique flexibility the laser is used in many different areas for cutting and welding as well as drilling, ablation, laser metal deposition and structuring. This presentation gives an overview over successful industrial micro- and macro- applications. We would like to show some examples from different industries, such as high-volume production in automotive industry, ship-building, consumer electronics, communication technologies and medical industry.
